Ron Scott,
President
Ron's mission is to offer solid investment advice and insurance services that will provide clients with the education and tools they need to help preserve wealth and reach financial goals.
Ron Scott pursued his career with Met Life in 1988, selling investment products and then in 1990, contracted with Sun Life Financial and began selling life insurance, after being a steer wrestler for many years. Ron still remains very involved in the horse world, as well as the Calgary community and surrounding areas.
Ron established Ron Scott Financial Consulting Inc. in 1999 and opened up his office in Eau Claire Market, here in Calgary, Alberta.
He is one of the top advisors for Sun Life Financial and has achieved the Top of Table of the Million Dollar Round Table several times throughout his career, and still maintains his leadership in the market place.
Since being in the business for 20 years, Ron has seen the economy for itself, and the ups and downs that it can bring to all of us. Therefore, Ron has found the way to make life insurance and investments work in many different ways. One way is tax sheltering your money and creating your own 'Ultimate Bank Account' or investing into different markets. He has found the way that life insurance can work as a living benefit, not just a death benefit.
Ron is not the typical insurance seller, he is a 'concept' seller. He is very well educated and knowledgeable and likes to share his ideas with others to have others succeed.
Disability, living benefits and Group benefits are also available through Ron Scott.

Ron Scott’s idea behind the Big Hearted Cowboys event was the product of a casual evening with friends talking about bringing together business contacts and Professional Rodeo peers for a night of Stampede fun. Ron concluded that the event would be a unique opportunity for two distinctly different communities to collaborate for the common cause of giving back to the community at large. Over 10 years later the whole team at Ron Scott Financial pitches in to organize a wonderful, fun event - that gives back tremendously.
Through Big Hearted Cowboys, Ron has almost single handedly raised in excess of $1,000,000 for Calgary based charities. Some of the past recipients of Ron’s generous spirit have been the Variety Club of Southern Alberta where he helped to build a park capable of meeting the needs of all children, and the Between the Friends Organization where the proceeds from the event helped to support programming for children with disabilities. Over the past 5 years Ron has established a very strong relationship with Hull Child & Family Services; they have been the beneficiary of all proceeds from the Big Hearted Cowboys charity events. Hull positively impacts the lives of over 3000 troubled kids and at-risk families in Western Canada every day.
In 1998 Ron was awarded the prestigious Gold Heart Award from the Variety Club for his service to the community. He has also been previously nominated for the Generosity of Spirit Award through AFP.
